THE Western Highlands-based Coffee Industry Corporation (CIC) substation has been upgraded and equipped with new office facilities. The latest inclusion is a power generator, thanks to the Productive Partnerships in Agriculture Project (PPAP).

CLOSE to 40,000 coffee seedlings are ready for distribution to gardens in the mountains of Simbai and Kovon in the Middle Ramu District of Madang Province.

THE Coffee Industry Corporation (CIC) belongs to the farmers and the Board has a responsibility to service them, says a new chairman for CIC Board of Directors Joseph Kom.

THE Productive Partnerships in Agriculture Project (PPAP) is been requested to set up coffee storage houses for farmers at several serviceable airstrips in Simbai and Kovon areas of Middle Ramu District, Madang Province.

The Coffee Industry Board of Directors have been urged to rebuild the industry as it was 20 years ago.

John Kendiga, acting Deputy Secretary, Policy & Planning at the Department of Agriculture & Livestock issued this challenge during the swearing in of two Board of Directors for Coffee Industry Corporation (CIC) in Goroka today, Thursday 16 December, 2016.
